Food after a day in Trondheim

Today I took my first day off since baby was born. So 10 months ago. And more when you really think about it. Got to tag along with a friend that was going up.
So baby was left with Tina in the morning and Eric in the afternoon.
It was good to get away for a little. Did some shopping, went to the health food stores. Yes that is what I do when I am out and about.

When Eric came to pick me up I just ran into coop to get some food for us. And what I had as a small snack yesterday inspired to make the plate bigger and more favours.
3 different meats
Ricotta, Feta, Bree and Mozzarella di Buffalo
Tomates with olive oil and fresh basil
cucumber
avocado
heart salad
pickled onions
pickles and some raw cashews

Made for a good and filling meal

This was a nice big plate as when I am out and about I tend not to eat as much. Just because I am really picky and my body as now adjusted to eating when I decide to not when normal meals say we should eat, like eat  in the morning at lunch and then dinner.
I had a bulletproof coffee in the morning, then I stopped by the health food store in Trondheim Torg, they have the nakd bars

Love these. They are super clean, only has 3-5 ingredients on the bars I have seen
They cost a bit, but I would way rather spend my money on these than a burger at MD

Massage training

I've always been a bit in and out on and off with massage stuff, I've always enjoyed giving them, but it's not just something you just do to anyone. When I was little my mom would ask me and my sister for massages, I even remember me and my sister having a "massage studio" for our parents, where they could come and pay 5 kr for let's say 15 minutes or something like that.
When I went to my uncle in Strømmen I would very often give my aunt a massage.
Scalp massages I've always enjoyed doing...
So maybe it's something I should look more into. Is a class I want to take, but time and mostly money is making this very difficult. Some day....
But until that day, there is no reason I can't practise a little and figure out stuff. I'm not into doing relaxing spa massages, I want to do therapeutic massages. Deep tissue stuff.
And now that my sister is here I can practice on her :)

Today as my snack after kettlebell I was really craving some mozzarella cheese with tomatoes, olive oil and basil. Put on some cucumber, sausage and Tina's home made pickled onions. They are very good!

Also did two training sessions with this fun lady today.
Morning lifting and friendly "therapy"
And kettlebell class this evening.

My body is now completely exhausted and looking forward to some sleep and recovery

Happy day

Tina's edited photos from the other night

So the other night when we went up for a little workout in the cabin we ended up in a little fun
 photo-shoot.
Our intention was to make one of these shadow photos, but the photo program we can use for free online does not have the same special effects as the stuff you pay for. Of course. But the picture still looks kind of cool, and we got some other fun pictures out of it too

My back is shaping up again

Doing turkish-getups. Practising technique here with the 12kg bell as I can do it now with a 20kg bell , but not so classy when I use that heavy.

10 months

Picture from February last year and one from today

Well my little man is not so little anymore. Already 10 months old
Time goes too fast. You bring so much happiness and joy into my life.

Love you

(next time tho we need to color coordinate the bells, this looks messy :P

Here is the first part of tonight's program.
Then we had 1 minute on 15 sec breaks with
Leg raise to plow
Windshield wipers
Russian sit-up
3 times each exercise
Then a two minute farmers walk
Ending it all with a 2 minute plank.

Well done everyone!
I'm exhausted, but so happy :)
Love my gym endorphins

Teaching the kid how to cook ( And some from his awesome birthday party)

Well I think its about time he picks it up, he is 5 now right. Time to do some more chores. Haha
He is turning into a very in depended little man so I figured why not, with me right beside him, making sure he does not hurt him self he did pretty well. Altho after only 5 minutes he asked if it was done, and if he could be done cooking.
But he stayed with me until I told him.
I think it's important to teach kids about food early, so they can make choices on what they want to eat. And why. I teach Jonas what is in the different kind of foods. Nutrition, and he also asked a lot of questions around food. Some people worry a bit about that, but for most of the time I am not. I don't want him to be concerned about everything that he eats, and I want him to know that we will not feed him bad food, or food that is bad for his body as he would but it. Some times I really miss being in Canada where most of our family eats like us, or at least are more understanding of our situation and choices.

Here some supervision from Tante Tina as well.
Made chicken with ginger, turmeric, and red onions.
Then I cut up asparagus to small pieces, but left the tops to the side. Green and yellow pepper and sweet potatoes. All cut nice and small.
Mix it all together. And let it shimmer.
Then because of it's clean ingredients I also give it to baby. He is no longer a fan of pureed foods. He now wants to eat it all him self with his hands. And he almost get's mad when I feed him.

Also got Jonas to do some dished today. Two easy pots that I had just boiled veggies in

What a good big boy.

Yesterday we had a barn birthday party for him. Tina had done such an amazing job making it awesome.
Even had Jonas Dollars that the kids got handed out in the "bank" that they could use to buy hot dogs. There was cake and a big treasure hunt. And lots of sledding. Nice and sunny day (bit windy) but kids and adults all enjoyed a wonderful day.

Easy and good breakfast for the kid

I often put an egg in the small pan and use the small leftovers from last night. Often what he won't finish. Add some extra meat and some cheese and voila it's like an breakfast egg pizza.
And it's all gone :)
