Sleep....
What there to say about sleep.
Hard to get?
Interrupted?
Not enough??
Well these are a few of the things I can say about sleep.
As lone as I can remember I have not been a good sleeper...
I remember being very little like 8-10 years old and just laying there and staring at the wall or letting my brain just go into high gear. Thinking about everything and nothing
So this is something I've resently started to work on. Slowly.
After starting magnesium as my first supplement a fee years ago. And yes high doses. It does wonders for me. Also because of the training.
But still my sleep has not been at it's best. Small kids ofcorse makes it tough too. Up to breastfeed, or get water, a bad dreams. You parents know the drill.
And then the falling asleep part. Takes me a while.
So now I'm doing a lot of things and I am sleeping way better.
1. A cup of tea while watching TV or blogging or what ever.
In my tea I put turmeric which has anti inflammatory purposes (curcumin)
I also put a pinch of chili and a spoon of honey.
Some research has found that honey helps you sleep.
2. Thrypthophan (5htp)
This is the one I do believe has changed a lot for me. I fall asleep faster now then I can ever remember. I don't wake up for little sounds
3. Magnesium I really prefer the natural calm powder, but here in Norway I can't buy it, unless I order it. So I use Life's brand magnesium and B6.
B6 helps absorb magnesium better
4. I put one earbud in. I know this sounds funny. But I put one in on the side that is not on the pillow when I fall asleep. Before kids I used to sleep with two. But now I kind of need to hear them. But this way I don't hear them turn, the cats bell, the wind, or what ever small sound that could possibly wake me up for no reason.
I'm also trying to teach my self to sleep on my side instead of on my stomach. As I know that is bad for my neck and shoulders to lay with the head twisted to one side. But have to say this is a habbit that's hard to break.
Hoping to sleep good now after finally doing 20kg TGU. Untill not being able to anymore
KB❤️
Sleep good everyone. Sleep is very important for your mood, hormones and recovery.
I'm know I'm a better person when I get enough sleep
